The problem
Most speed tools test only the first page a visitor opens. In a single-page app (React, Angular, Vue and similar), people then move to other screens without a full page load. Those later screens are often where things get slow, and normal checks never see them.
What RouteVitals will do
- Open your app and follow a list of screens you give it, like Home → Search → Checkout.
- For each screen, record how long it took to show, how quickly it responded to a tap or click, and how much the layout jumped.
- Save a short report you can open in any browser.
- Return a clear pass or fail, so your CI pipeline can stop a slow change before release.
Who it is for
QA engineers, developers and small teams who want speed numbers for the whole journey, not only the landing page.
Status
RouteVitals is being built now. The first version (v0.1) will be a free download from this page, with a checksum so you can confirm the file is genuine. Email the lab to hear when it is out.
